Meet the Team
Hello, I’m Miss Bell, and I teach Class 5B.
I’m also the Reading Lead at school, which is a wonderful role for me as I absolutely love books! One of my favourite things is when a child wants to share a story they have read or tell me an interesting fact they have discovered in a book — it really does make my day.
I also love singing and am lucky enough to run our school choir, Harmonize, as well as Young Voices.
When I’m not at school, I spend quite a lot of my time coaching trampolining, which I really enjoy. I also love travelling, exploring new places and discovering new experiences along the way.
Hello, I’m Mrs Dunkley,
I have been teaching at St Mary and St Giles Church of England School since 2015. This year, I will be teaching class 5C on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know the children, supporting them in their learning, and helping them grow in confidence as we take on the exciting challenges of Year 5 together.
Hello, I’m Mrs Whitfield,
I’ve been working at St Mary and St Giles Church of England School for 13 years, and this year I’ll be teaching in 5C on Thursdays and Fridays.
My favourite thing about teaching is helping children discover something they can feel passionate and excited about—it’s wonderful to see their confidence grow as they find joy in learning.
I love reading, looking after my two rabbits, and spending quality time with my family.
