Admissions appeals for places Reception in September 2026
Following National Offer Day, if you named St Mary and St Giles C of E Primary School as one of your preferences and were unsuccessful, you have a right to appeal against the decision to an independent appeal panel. Please email southoffice@smsg.uk.com to request an appeal form.
Our Admission Appeals for pupils starting in Reception in September 2026 are as follows.
- 16th April 2026 – Primary school place allocation day.
- 15th May 2026 -Deadline for parents to submit completed appeal forms.
- At least 10 school days before the appeal hearing -The Appeals Team sends appeal hearing date & time letters to parents or carers and provides a deadline date for submitting additional information in support of the appeal.
- 6 calendar days before the appeal hearing -The Appeals Team sends case papers to parents or carers, the admission authority and the Appeal Panel.
- June to July -Primary Admission Appeals heard.
- Decision letter sent to parents or carers and the admission authority.
