Headteacher’s Welcome
Welcome to St Mary and St Giles C of E School, a member of the Inspiring Futures through Learning Academy Trust.
It is my pleasure to welcome prospective parents, families and friends to St Mary and St Giles Church of England School. I feel honoured and privileged to be able to lead at such a unique and special school where everything we do is focussed on supporting children to learn, grow and become the best possible version of themselves.

These values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning and provide an environment which prepares our children as confident, happy citizens. Our aim is for all children to belong to a safe and happy community which celebrates our diversity and differences. We believe that it is our duty to ensure our children are well prepared for the next step of their journey in life and aspire for all to flourish.
Whilst we believe that every child should achieve their full potential in the image of God, we are committed to ensuring we develop the whole child, linked to the Church of England’s vision July 2016 of “life in all its fullness”. We deliver a broad and balanced curriculum and which has been carefully crafted to provide exciting experiences for all of our children.

We are a unique school, set across two sites – Our north site is in the heart of Stony Stratford and takes children in Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6) whilst our south site is a short distance away in Galley Hill and takes children all the way from nursery through to Year 6. With dedicated staff across both sites, everything we do is for the good of the children and the SMSG community. We are proud to be a part of the local community and always look for ways to interact, engage and support others.
Successful learning is determined by the close relationships and partnerships built with you and our families. We see you, the parent/carer, as an essential partner in your child’s learning and value working closely with you – no one knows your child as you do and we can only achieve the best for your child when we work together.
