Our Senior Leadership Team

Having started my journey into teaching around 15 years ago, I have a wealth of experience in different schools, mostly across the Milton Keynes area. I have taught across the primary age range and have been a year leader, assistant head, deputy head and now a headteacher. I have a specialism in Mathematics and have been a specialist advisor for maths across the IFtL Trust for 4 years. I love being headteacher at SMSG and enjoy watching our children grow and flourish!

In my spare time, I have two young daughters who keep me busy and I love being active with. I like to travel and am fortunate to have been to many different countries across the world. I enjoy sports and am a keen Leicester City and Leicester Tigers fan. I am also into gaming and own a number of different consoles from across the ages with my favourites being the Nintendo 64 and Sega Dreamcast!

Hello, I am Miss Hoskin and I have been the Deputy Headteacher at SMSG since January 2020. As part of my role, I have responsibilities for Safeguarding which involves lots of communication with children, families and outside agencies to ensure that all our children are safe and happy. I also lead the subject leaders in the Curriculum to ensure we are teaching the correct knowledge and skills and that children at SMSG have a broad, balanced Curriculum with lots of exciting opportunities. I have been teaching for over twenty years in and around Milton Keynes and have been lucky to teach every year group from Reception to Year 6. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my two greyhounds – Charlie and Ruby – and going to the gym to an aerobics dance class.

Hi, I am Mrs Fraser and I have been teaching across schools in Milton Keynes for over 20 years in both key stages. Although I have been at SMSG for a number of years, this year I started my role as Assistant Headteacher for Key Stage 2. As part of my role I have responsibilities for Key Stage 2, Assessment, Pupil Premium, Curriculum alongside Miss Hoskin and also Maths. I am passionate about teaching and love the fact that my role allows me such varied opportunities. In my spare time I enjoy being with family and friends, I enjoy going for walks in the countyside and travelling to as many places as I can in and out of the UK.

Hi, I am Mrs Parkes and I have recently joined SMSG as an Assistant Headteacher having been teacher for over 12 years and an Assistant Headteacher for 6 of those years. I specialise in Early Years and Key Stage 1 but also really enjoy teaching Key Stage 2 children. At SMSG, I am responsible for Early Years, Key Stage 1, Personal Development, Parental Engagement and Extra Curricular Opportunities. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and reading.

Hi, I’m Mrs Atkins and I am the SENCo at SMSG. I have been a primary school teacher for over 20 years and have experience of teaching across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I became a Special Educational Needs Coordinator 9 years ago and hold the National Award for Special Educational Needs. I love working with children and families to ensure children with different levels of need get the right provision for them to flourish and achieve to the best of their ability.

I love to spend my spare time with my family, we enjoy taking our Cockerpoo for walks in the woods or further afield to the seaside. I also like to go jogging and to potter around in my garden.

Hi, I’m Mrs McManus. Many of you will know me from greeting your children at the school gates. I am the School Business Manager at SMSG. I look after staffing & recruitment, finance & premises. I have worked in schools since 2005, starting at SMSG in 2019.

I love to spend time with my grown up family and we love eating out & travelling, with camping being a particular favourite.

Hi, My name is Claire and I have a few roles within the St Mary and Giles family/Team.

My roles include Family Support, Pastoral Assistant, DSL and Attendance Officer.

I feel very privileged to work with and for our children and families and promise to always put your/our children first in everything I do.

Children are at the very core of all I do, and this has been the case for me for many years. I have a background of over 15 years working as a Foster carer, where I am proud to say that during that time, I helped many young vulnerable people to gain agency, have their voices heard and enabled and encouraged them be the best version of themselves.  I have also worked within the Women’s Team of Probation services where I was recognised within the service for a Turning lives around award, something I was nominated for by users of the service.  I am passionate about enabling others to thrive and providing a nurturing safe environment for this to be achieved.

My family are my world and I love to spend as much time with them as possible making as many happy memories as we can that will last forever.
