Pupil Leadership

Head Pupils

Each year, our Head Pupils are elected by the school staff to take on a leadership role, representing the student body. As ambassadors for the school, they welcome visitors and lead tours during events, showcasing the values and spirit of our school.

IFTL Youth Parliament

The IFTL Youth Parliament is led by IFTL CEO Sarah Bennett. Through their participation, Youth Parliament representatives learn the principles of democracy and the importance of understanding their rights. In our sessions, students explore issues that affect young people and their future, engaging in thoughtful and impactful discussions. They are also given the opportunity to make their voices heard through voting. We remain committed to empowering and inspiring “ambitious and lifelong learners in strong schools.”

School Councillors

School Councillors collaborate with their peers to discuss ideas and concerns, which they then bring to the attention of the broader School Council. They have excellent listening skills and are confident and proactive in their approach. By attending regular meetings, they work together to make a positive impact on the entire SMSG community.
