Summary of School Outcomes for 2019 – Provisional Outcomes

This is a summary of results from this academic year 2018-19.

In the Early Years Foundation Stage (Reception) 68% of children secured a good level of development.

In Phonics, 41% of children passed the phonic screening assessment in Year 1 and 50% passed the test by the end of Year 2.

At the end of Key Stage 1 (Year 2);

  • 61% of the children achieved the expected standard in Reading
  • 25% of the children achieved the expected standard in Writing
  • 50% of the children achieved the expected standard in Maths

At the end of Key Stage 2 (Year 6) our results showed improvement on last years outcomes but are still not at national standards. 38% of our children achieved the expected level in Reading, Writing and Mathematics combined, compared to 65%* nationally. (*awaiting national outcomes)

The progress scores at SMSG, which are calculated by measuring the journey from the end of year 2 until the end of year 6, show that our children are not making good enough progress or attainment.

This data will be available once the outcomes have been ratified.
